A GIVEAWAY........and some exciting news......

Hi Everyone...
Hope all is good....
I just wanted to share a little bit of exciting news with you all.

From next friday the 5th November I will be sharing with you all my' new little blog' where I will have for sale my own little embellishment packs.   I have always been a crochet girl from way back, when a dear Aunt spent endless hours patiently teaching me all her skills.  I will 'never' be as good as she was BUT I love that I learnt so much from her and that today 20 odd years later I found that I still remember it all...:-) .  She would certainly be very proud .... I have also been collecting over the past year or so old crochet bits and pieces from the op shops then cutting and dyeing these precious pieces with bright homemade natural dyes.   I have been using these glorious bits on my scrapbooking pages of late and just love them.  They are not colourfast so if you intend to wash these beauties the dye will run BUT in saying that I have done this for certain projects to get a 'washed 'out look and love the effect.

I also have a love of sewing so will have some cute little 'yo'yo' flowers which all have a matching covered brad in the centre.
There are also other 'bits and pieces' which I will share next friday so please come back to have a little sticky!

I especially like it because of 'multiple' photos...I really like to work with just 1 photo BUT at times I have multiple photos I would love to scrap BUT just never do..Well all that is about to change  LOL.

October Challenge at 'Scrap the girls'...
Another great challenge thanks girls and you can find all
about it here   The challenge was an inspiration one and you had to find inspiration from this
shakespeare quote:
'What's in a name?  That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet'...
I found my inspiration with the word 'sweet' so used that in my title of my gorgeous gd 'Evie'...and also from the word 'rose' as I love roses and used some mini ones on my layout...
The exta criteria was to use 'flowers' and 'buttons'....
Anyway here is my entry......

Lets Get Shabby Challenge No 16.....AND....Kraft it up monthly challenge...

Gosh how fast is this year flying past!!!! :-( It will be christmas before we know it....:-)
Anyway it only seems like yesterday that I did the last challenge over at 'Lets get Shabby' and here we are back once again with challenge No 16.....

This challenge was to take inspiration from the 2 kitchens pictured....
I chose to take mine from kitchen No 1 because the colours just jumped out at me....
I have chosen the colours Pink, Yellow and Blue as my dominant colour combination.
I have made the flowers out of fabric (and also made the crochet ones, BUT also used one piece of fabric for the bow...
The 2 die cuts are the MME 'pure joy' and the ticket...
Here is my take on the challenge...

Once again I loved this challenge and happy with my end result.

A wonderful sketch to have us work with and an easy task it was too with such a great sketch......
I have found my love of paint again in the past few months and have also used some lovely Kraft and some awesome 'fancy pants' kraft kuts p/p.....Here is my take on the sketch: (my 2 favourite little boys!!)

Long Weekends come and go!!!!!!

Not sure if you are like me BUT when I know long weekends are coming around I plan all sorts of stuff that I am going to do BUT it just never happens that way....
Friday night we took the little people to the local show which they just loved....Its actually good they are still quiet small as a ride here and there is simply enough for them.  They loved to just look at all that was going on around them..The looks on the little faces is just priceless!!!! Would of liked to stay for the fireworks but they were on way too late.
Saturday was just a total waste day really..I had to do a few things in town, had some visitors so by that time I decided the only thing I wanted to do was to scrap, so I did and I found inspiration from Helen over at ST who set a few challenges for WCMD.  Her is what I managed to create:
Challenge 1 was to use the sketch as inspiration. It was a nice simple sketch and this is what I came up with....I was happ with how my handmade flowers turned out.... :-)

Challenge 2 was to to make 2 or more Christmas cards....Yay I have now made a start.... I just love the beautiful MME chrissy papers......

I have a few projects on the go and will be able to share soon......

I woke up this morning and found out over at Scrap Therapy that I had won the Card Sketch for the Sept CC........Yay!!!!  A little shopping never goes astry!!!!!Her is another look at the cards I made.....Thanks to all who voted!!!! :-)

Well I am about to tackle some long awaited housework then hopefully I can scrap the afternoon away.....
