Its been awhile......

Yep its been awhile since I last posted BUT it has just been one of those months....
Anyways here are some layouts that I have been working on....

LOL)...
I am happy with how this turned out...

Well thats about if for now...I am working on the 'Let's get shabby' challenge BUT may run out of time I think!!!!!

DH surprised me on Sunday morning by telling me to pack a small bag as we were going away for the night to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary.. We went to Albury which was lovely, did a little shopping, went out for a lovely dinner then had a few drinks at the club. It was just lovely.  On sunday morning he gave me a beautiful pearl necklace...I love this man to bits.....

Scrapville august monthly packs...

Well its that time again!!! Monthly packs from Scrapville.....http://thescrapvilleblog.blogspot.com/2010/08/august-monthly-packs.html

I loved both of the packs this month ... again!!!! and both so very different...
Here is what I came up with ....

This is a page I did for my DD for her calendar page...I have been doing a calendar page every month for her since little Ryder was born....

And this is the layout I did for last months challenge over at 'Scrap the girls'....My neice's little bubba .. so cute....

I have also been working on 30 assorted cards that I got an order for at work...Just about finished though BUT with being sick for the last few days the scrapping has slowed down a little.  Hopefully now I have some good old anti's to help me out I should be on the mend real soon..

WOW........

Well wow is exactly how I feel at the moment....
Everyone that knows me well, knows how much I love the 'lets get shabby' blog. :-)
Well they have just announced the winners and HM's and I have once again been named
in the HM's...I am once again so thrilled to be named among this talented group of women
from all over the world..Always such a big inspiration,,  Thankyou shabby girls.....

In more scrappy news I have a few layouts to share....This is for this months challenge at KIU....

I chose some older photos from our holiday to New Zealand.....(am getting through them!!!!)

These are just a few layouts I have completed....

This one uses some older 'autumn leaves' stamps which I stamped , coloured in then cut out....I am quiet happy with the result...

This layout is another of the ever gorgeous Evie who is growing up so fast its scary!!!!!

And this layout was done for the 'JulyCC sketch challenge over at srap therapy....I love how this turned out...

Well thats about if for now.  I have a busy weekend then on monday I am off to Albury with my dd and the kiddies as little Ryder has just been diagnosed with 'sleep apnea' so has to go to the specialist to organise to have his tonsils and adnoides(sp) removed.

Scrapville July sketch challenge...

The uber talented Melinda has done it yet again and I must say this has been my favourite sketch so far (mind you I have a habit of saying this each and every month...LOL.

Anyway this is my take on the sketch and happy with how it turned out....

Dh and I had the 3 little munchkins over for a sleepover last night (just a shame that is not what they did!!!!) It was dh's birthday yesterday and we went out with the kiddies for lunch then last night we had a party of sorts at home....The results of too much cake, lollies and other party foods was really not such a good mix with Lachie up half the night and because little Evie has had a nasty cold she was awake every 1/2 hour or so!!!!! Little Ryder slept soundly unaware of all the happenings around him.....I loved having them all BUT I LOVE even more that its not every other weekend!!!!!

I have lots of scrapping on the go so as soon I can find the time to finish them off I will share. 

I was lucky enough to have some more layouts accepted so of course looking forward to seeing those in print.....

'Lets get Shabby'... Challenge No 13...

Hi everyone...
Well its very hard to believe that 12months ago 'Mandy' started the wonderful inspirational blog 'Lets get Shabby'.....where has the time gone!!!

To begin with this challenge was just that to me (a real challenge).  I am so not a stamper and only own a very few so I was a little stumped about what I could do.  Anyways I did find a few that were suitable and was amazed that when I opened the packets they were not damaged. :-) I ended up enjoying the challenge and think I may even be a little converted to the stamping world!!!!
I have had this little kaiser wooden handbag forever and as a special friend of mine is having a birthday soon I decided to make it into a gift bag... I painted all the pieces then sealed them then covered the front and back with basic grey p/p's.  I then used a music stamp to cover all of this and found some cute butterfly stamps that I coloured in and cut out.  I also found a 'birthday stamp' which I also coloured in then punched a hole and hung it around the handle.  A little bit more decorating and my birthday bag was complete.

Scrapville July monthly packs...

Well another month and its time for the 'Scrapville' monthly packs to be released...

Janet has another 2 packs this month and I was lucky enough to be able to have a play with them both...

Each pack was so different BUT I just loved them both...

The firstpack was jam packed full of the gorgeous Sass range 'life is beautiful'...and here is what I created ....

The second pack contained the beautiful Websters p/p's and I just adored working with this...

And I also made some cards.....

Well I have a few other things on the go at the moment so once I am finished I will be abe to share.....

We had some very sad news in our family last friday.  My nephew Steven has been battling with brain tumours for the last 9 months and on friday he lost his battle.  Dont know when the funeral will be BUT will have a busy week ahead with lots of visitors.  RIP dear Steven (no more suffering).  28 is just far too youung!!!!!!
