Happy as!!!!!!!

Well I am one happy little chickie here as I was lucky enough this month to be picked for an HM over at 'Lets get Shabby'.......To be picked from all these inspiring and talented group of artists was a thrill for sure......Congratulations to the winner Kristy who created a most wonderful layout ......Here is my entry 'again' that I did......
Over at LSBS Challenge No 7 was to create a layout using the 'endless summer' poster as inspiration and to also feature the line 'In search of the perfect---------!!!!!!' as your title........
I had some older weddding photos still waiting to be scrapped so used one of them and am more than happy with the end results..... I chose 'In search of the perfect LOVE'.......I was again honoured to get an HM from nic for this effort.....
The following layout was for the March monthly challenge 'Journalling' over at Scrap Therapy.......Lisa set this challenge and we had to journal around the page which I decided to do with both sticker words and added some handwritten journalling.....I love how this turned out and am sure I will use this again and again........Love this photo of Ashley going to a wedding.....
And finally another layout for Scrap Therapy for the March CC.....This was for the sketch challenge set by Beccy and it was an awesome sketch to work with and we had to also use mono (which was fun).....Love this photo of little Lachie who really is hard to photograph smiling!!!!!!
By the way I really dislike 'green'........:-)
Well not long now till we meet our newest little member....2 and 1/2 weeks to be exact....It will be so exciting to hold and smell a lovely newborn again......sigh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for stopping by...
Take care....

Some bits and pieces to share......

Hi everyone ........
I just wanted to share some creating with you and hope you enjoy looking at what I have done....
The first layout was done for the LSBS summer challenge No 6......Tracy set this challenge and it was to use a line out of Billy Thorpe's 'Its almost summer' hit song.....I chose to use the line.....
' Summertime, when days are sunny and skies are blue'........This is little Lachie in the backyard pool which he just loves.......(I actually got an HM for this so happy with that) I made the tree by cutting out the shape then using 3D kindygliz mixed with green paint which gave it the textured look.....

This layout is for this months challenge over at 'Scrap the girls'.......
March Challenge
March – the month of the Oscars, which got me thinking about my favourite Girly movies. They don't get much better than Sex and the City!
The challenge.....Please use the following picture as inspiration for your LO – it could be the colours, the fashion, the women in your life etc.......Extra criteria – use the word friend, friendship or friends in your title
When you email your LO please explain how you have drawn inspiration from this picture.
Also please remember - Girls only! No boys allowed ;)

So here is what I came up with....

This is another page I did for Erin's calendar....I have done here a page each month since the month before Ryder was born......(Have no idea what I am going to do when the new bubba arrives!!!!!!)

The next layout is for this months challenge over at Kraft it up......
You must create a layout using KRAFT and you must also have a MIXED ALPHA TITLE, pretty simple I am sure after the stunning work you all created last month!!!
We cant wait to see your layouts, remember to email them to: kraft.it.up@hotmail.com you have until 8pm March 31st to get them in!
And this is what I came up with.....
Must admit no scraps left for me from this p/p as I used the lot!!!!!
On a bit more of a personal note I celebrated a big birthday last week and really celebrated with lots of love and friendship.......
It started through the week with some gorgeous birthday cards from the girls at LSBS which made my day......My gorgeous friend Deb sent a beautiful card and the most awesome little book that I will treasure forever....So thoughtful.......My beautiful beautiful friend Shann sent me a gorgeous card with a lovely photo album (scrapbook) one I have never seen before and I just love it......We celebrate our birthdays 2 days apart!!!!!!!!

Come the friday it all started again and my gorgeous dh gave me a lovely gold watch .......I wasnt all that fussed about going to work but it turned out lovely......Pressies galore and a chocolate mud cake for morning tea......We all went out for a lovely dinner with the family then back to Erin and Ben's house for a cookies and cream birthday ice cream cake...Yummmmmmmm....The kiddies all gave me accom and tickets to the Mama Mia musical in Melbourne.....I sooooo cant wait for that......
All in all I had the bestest day and one I will remember forever.....Its not so bad to reach the big 50.........(let life really begin I say)
On the last note of todays post we are all awaiting the arrival of our newest little bundle to love.....Erin has 3.5 weeks to go so we are all getting a bit anxious....They have no idea if its a boy or girl so that will only add to the excitement......Will keep you posted for sure....

Take care all till next time...
Cheers...

A little to share........

Well I have had a few busy busy weeks BUT like any true scrapper I have managed to steal a few precious moments to do a little creating.......:-)
Challenge No 4 over at LSBS was to do a layout inspired by a gorgeous layout that Nic had done ('leap of faith by Kerryn) (a photo she won for australia day!!!!!!)....I decided to do a layout with some photos DH and I got when we climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge last year.....It was a special birthday pressie from all the kids for him and as he is scared of heights it was such a big deal in itself that he was so excited to do this.....For me I lost my younger brother to suicide on this bridge many years ago so for us both it was our 'Leap of Faith'.....Oh by the way we both loved it and it will be remembered forever.....
Challenge No 5 was to make a set of 3 'summery' cards by Deanne.....A great challenge and I got to use up some older papers and I am more than happy with the end results.....
The next layout was for the February challenge over at 'Out of the hat' which had criteria to follow.....
1. A four word title...
2. Buttons......
3. Bows.....
4. Butterfly.....
This was little Ryder at his 2nd birthday.....
This layout was for a challenge over at 'Kraft it up'.....This is a new challenge site and such an awesome one, I love it as I love to use Kraft......
The challenge was to use Kraft and to use a lot of distressing........
I love this photo of Erin when she was pregnant with Ryder.....
Lastly ...... Deanne at LSBS had an atc challenge where we had to use these little minature playing cards........I loved how mine turned out....We all had to vote who we wanted as the winner and I actually won with this and recieved an awesome lot of goodies for it.....Thanks Dee....
Well thats it for now I have a few more on the go BUT not ready to share just yet......
Hopefully now I can settle back into normality...
Two weeks ago we had Lachie for 2 nights while his mum and dad went to sydney to see ACDC....It was lovely to have him BUT the poor little munchkin got croup and was a little miserable for a couple of days....All better now thank goodness....
This week we had Ryder for 4 days while his mum and dad went to Hamilton Island for a friends wedding.....We had a lovely time but oh so tiring.........so yep now ready to get back to normal....
Thanks for stopping by ,
Take Care..
Cheers

Lets get Shabby......Challenge No 9......

LET'S GET SHABBY ...... CHALLENGE NO 9.....

Well its that time again for the the 'Let's get Shabby' monthly challenge......
I Loved Loved Loved this challenge.........

And here it is.....
CHALLENGE #9
.
.
Do we ever have a WONDERFUL challenge for you!!
.
.
.
*Create a Shabby garden on your project
*Include a quote from anywhere in the book ‘ Alice in Wonderland'.As gardens are usually full of a mix a flowers you will need to include a variety of at least five flowers on your creation.
If you arent familiar with the book....
Let us introduce you to a well loved story ............http://www.the-office.com/bedtime-story/classics-alice-1.htmYou dont have to do a creation based on this story - be inspired by it in any way you like! And let us know which chapter your quote come from
And this is what I came up with........
I am very lucky to own a copy of 'Alice in Wonderland' that was my nan's (old and beaten etc etc) and as much as I would of loved to actually 'attack' the pages, I just couldnt let myself do it as the memories are just too close for comfort, so instead I re-read the book for some inspiration.........
The whole book is jammed with loads of inspiration so choosing which path to follow was difficult in itself.......Anyway I found in Chapter 12...'Alice's evidence' a conversation between the white rabbit and the king which went like this......'Where shall I begin'? said the white rabbit.....
'BEGIN AT THE BEGINNING' said the king....... And so my title was born............ I had this photo of DS and DIL from their wedding and it fitted perfectly..... I made a little garden around the fence using lots of different flowers and the two flowers up the top were made on kraft by stamping then cutting them out.....The journal piece was made from the prima packaging using my scallop punches.......
Thanks for another great challenge 'lets get shabby girls'.......Awesome as always....
Thanks heaps for looking.......
Take care...

Seasoned scrapper challenge ...Summer...Challenge No 3......

Wow cant believe we are already up to challenge No 3!!!!!!!
This week the challenge was set by Tracy........She chose the word 'Summer' and we could interpret that in any way we liked.......I chose this gorgeous photo of Ryder at the beach.......
I have a lot of projects on the go and hopefully will get a chance over the weekend to get some thing happening.....Been a busy busy week here and tomorrow we are having Lachie over for a couple of nights while his mum and dad get some 'me' time in Sydney at the ACDC concert with a heap of their friends.....Looking forward to having the little munchkin BUT am sure nothing else will get done......Oh well thats life I guess.....
The following week we are having Ryder for a few days also while his mum and dad travel to Hamilton Island for a wedding......So busy busy busy again......
Took ashley to the dr's yesterday to take the plaster off her leg (cant believe that they only keep plaster on for a week or two nowadays!!!!!!!! Anyway its still very swollen and very very black and blue but at least she is able to walk a bit better now......She has a wedding on today and was certain she could wear her heels BUT there was no way (mothers always know!!!!)....Anyway lucky Erin had a nice pair of silver flats that matched nicely with her new dress.....she looked lovely by the way......
Okies enough from me ...... DH and I are going out to dinner which should be nice so best go and get a little bit tidy!!!!!
Oh I almost forgot I won the January sketch challenge over at 'Scrapville'.......pretty chuffed about that......
Take care...
Till next time...
Cheers...

February CC at LSBS.......

Gee the months just seem to be flying by!!!!!! Another CC over at LSBS and I am more than happy to have finished 4 layouts.......Will share 3 tonight as I have not taken a photo of the last one as yet.....
This one was for Tracy's Challenge and was to use black and red with a touch of another colour or two.....I chose yellow........Erin on her wedding day!!!!!! Isnt she just beautiful (I think so anyway!!!!!)

This one was for Belle's challenge which was to use more than 4 photos of a man or men in your life (naughty) and these photos so fit the bill of little Lachie having his lunch one day but chucking and spitting his food out and thinking it was quiet funny (which in actual fact it was)......How could anyone be angry with him (not me thats for sure!!!!)...
The next challenge was for Nic and the challenge was to use the poem roses are red, violets are blue and finish it off to suit.........I love this photo of little Lachie and made up the poem...Roses are red , violets are blue , we were blessed with an angel when god sent us YOU........
Also over at LSBS the 'Seasoned Scrapper' has begun which is so much fun with a challenge every week to keep the creative juices flowing.......
Week 1 was to cover a journal to keep all of the challenges in which was such a great idea.....
I am very happy with how mine turned out.......
Week 2 was to make a card box with a concertina insert......When I first saw the instructions I was shocked as I just find it difficult to follow these..(instructions challenged thats me!!!!) BUT I perservered and after a few failed attempts I finally got it......Mind you I could now do another with ease....... I LOVE how this turned out and will certainly be making another......
I am more than happy with my weeks worth of work.........
Its been so hot and sticky and humid and just plain yuk of late that we all welcomed a big storm that finally came our way on friday.......Heaps and heaps of rain that we so badly needed and a little cooler BUT still quiet humid......Amazing to look outside and see how green everything is after just a few days......We may be lucky enough to salvage some goodies from the vegie patch after all!!!!
Ashley and her boyfriend Adam had a few days last week in Melbourne for the ACDC concert.....They loved it of course and so glad they went but poor old ashley was accidently knocked down some stairs there and broke her foot, so is now hobbling around on crutches with it plastered up.....Have no idea how she will manage at work tomorrow but is insisting on going.....
Anyway till next week......
Take care everyone...
Cheers...
